About

My name is Stella Muthoni and moving the needle is second nature to me. With a focus mainly on blackwork and dotwork, I create intricate and mesmerizing designs that push the boundaries of tattoo art.

Over the years, my dedication to these styles has garnered me numerous awards, showcasing my artistic mastery and innovative approach.

From the quiet streets of Ruiru to the hearts of bold clients across Kenya, my art tells stories through bold blackwork and intricate dotwork tattoos. Rooted in culture and crafted with precision, each piece is a journey of expression. Step into my world and see why my ink speaks louder than words.

As a tattoo artist, I often receive inquiries from clients regarding their tattoos, pricing or the process of booking an appointment. To help address these common queries, I have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If you have any additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

How do I book an appointment?

If you are interested in a tattoo appointment, just send me an email (please don't send me messages through social media). I will get back to you soon with possible dates.

How long is the waiting period?

The waiting period depends on the size and complexity of your tattoo. For most bookings, the wait is between 1 to 3 weeks. For larger projects like sleeves or custom designs, it may take up to a month. I’ll always update you on available slots and keep your schedule in mind.

How much will it cost?

Tattoo prices depend on the size, design complexity, and placement. Small tattoos start from KSh 2,000, while larger or more detailed pieces (like sleeves or custom work) are priced based on hourly or session rates.

What if I'm not satisfied?

Your satisfaction matters. Before tattooing, we go through the design together and make sure you’re 100% happy with it. I don’t start until you approve everything — placement, size, and details. If you're not satisfied with the final result (which is rare), I offer a free touch-up session to fix any issues. However, refunds are not offered once the tattoo is done — but I’ll always work with you to make things right

What should I do before the visit?

Come well-rested, well-fed, and hydrated. Avoid alcohol or drugs 24 hours before your session. Wear comfortable clothes that give easy access to the tattoo area, and keep your skin clean—no lotion or oils. If you have design ideas, bring them along.

How about a tattoo motif?

If you’re not sure what design to get, we can start with a motif — a symbol or theme that means something to you. Whether it’s strength, freedom, growth, or love, I’ll help you turn that idea into a unique tattoo that fits your style and story.
